Garnet served as a talisman of protection and strength in the Crusades and was used to honour the Egyptian Goddess of War. Being the colour of blood, it was also made into weapons such as projectiles and bullets to inflict more deadly wounds. Garnet is commonly found in metamorphic rocks and ignites one's internal fire to energise, rejuvenate and boost creative power.
