Garnet served as a talisman of protection and strength in the Crusades and was used to honour the Egyptian Goddess of War. Being the colour of blood, it was also made into weapons such as projectiles and bullets. Garnet is commonly found in metamorphic rocks and ignites one's internal fire to energise, rejuvenate and boost creative power. It builds resistance, dissolves stagnant energies and activates survival instincts to bring courage and hope.

Associated with the base chakra, garnet balances the energy system and revitalises all chakras. It's known as a crisis stone, easing fears or insecurities and attracting success in relationships, business endeavours and goals. The firey energy of garnet inspires passion, charisma and sensuality in love, restoring libido and removing any inhibitions or taboos.
